“Dance-O-Ween” SF’s Epic Roving Costumed Dance Party 2026

Update! DANCEOWEEN 2026 is officially on. Expect 5,000+ to join for this epically-fun roving mobile dance party through the Mission!

🌕 🎃 DANCEOWEEN IS BACK! 🎃 a free, roving dance party that winds through the streets of the Mission with mobile sound carts, live music, bubbles and absurd costumes. The 2026 theme is Total Flanarchy, so expect flan-themed mischief alongside the usual magic.

The crowd gathers at the 16th St BART plaza at 7:30 PM, then moves through the neighborhood behind mobile sound carts with DJs and live music. Think bubbles, glowing art carts, and thousands of people in wildly creative costumes dancing together.

Costumes are encouraged (the sillier the better). Wear comfy dancing shoes, bring water and something that glows. It’s free and everyone is welcome.

*Please note, this event has happened since 2013 as an unofficial (and unpermitted) event, so attend at your own risk of being disappointed. If you show up in a costume, ready to dance and have a good time, you probably will.
