If you’ve seen a science fiction movie in the last 20 years, odds are the creatures in those films were influenced by the goth surrealist artist H. R. Giger; a painter, sculptor, and creator of the scary aliens in the movie Alien. Experience the man behind the monsters in the documentary Dark Star: H. R. Giger’s World, a film depicting the last years of Giger’s life and the all encompassing nature of his artistic visions.
If this documentary makes you want to revisit Giger’s work, see the midnight showings of Alien at the Clay Theater on May 22nd and 23rd.
Your tickets are good for any screening on Friday, May 15th (unless it’s sold out, so please plan to arrive early)
