Dark Star & Black Flash: Photograms | Mission

Klea McKenna and Maggie Preston both use the bare photographic necessities – paper and light – to make images.

In Dark Star Klea McKenna makes site-specific photograms using the historic Theater Artaud building as both her subject and her darkroom. In Maggie Preston’s Black Flash, she “marks” 24 sheets of unexposed paper with the flash of a point & shoot camera.
