Amoeba Music: Free In-Store Mini Concerts

Amoeba Music regularly welcomes traveling and local artists for in-store performances at their San Francisco and Berkeley locations.

Hear your favorite artists for free often right before they hit the stage elsewhere in the Bay Area.

Nor-Cal’s most dangerous surf band, The Deadlies perform Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Amoeba Music, located in the heart of San Francisco’s classic Haight-Ashbury.

The Deadlies have carved out a unique musical spot for themselves infused with an unwavering allegiance to fun in the sun, great musicianship, and a relentless sense of humor. With a bright blast of sound evolving from the California surf scene and roadhouse honkytonks, and swinging with free‐wheelin’ references of the best of punk and rock, their music is loaded with chops and hooks making them the Deadli‐est of Surf bands.

This free all-ages performance at 2 pm is followed with signing of their newly released fourth album, “The Deadlies”. With recording assistance from legendary producer Jack Douglas and mixing done by the equally well known Tom Hall, listen and enjoy the fun, high energy anecdote to over‐effected pop and cerebral metal doomdum.

Their Amoeba appearance will center on songs from the new release, self-titled “The Deadlies”, and a few favorites from the bands prior two CDs, “Meet The Deadlies” and “The Deadlies Go To Nashville”. The first video single for “The Deadlies” was just released for the song “Hippie Groove”. Filmed locally at Ocean Beach, the video captures the SF surf scene and fun, the bands’ beach party vibe.
