April 15th: you pay your taxes.
Also April 15th: the Titanic hits an iceberg.
Coincidence? We think not. Ever get that sinking feeling… like the world’s a bit off lately?
Well, on April 16th, instead of staring at your bank account or contemplating maritime history… come sing about it.
Shipwrecked Shanty presents: Death & Taxes: A Titanic ShantyOke (the world ONLY “shantyoke”, in fact!)
It’s part concert, part singalong, part group therapy for anyone who just survived Tax Day.
- No experience required
- No singing ability required
- Only “dues” owed: your voice
We’ll be belting out sea shanties about hard work, bad decisions, lost ships, and questionable financial planning—basically the greatest hits of human history.
And yes… you will find yourself shouting the chorus with a room full of strangers.
Come for the doom. Stay for the tunes. Leave slightly better than you arrived.
(And unlike the Titanic… this one ends well.)
