Event Details

Join us for an intimate conversation with Rochelle Ratkaj Moser, a leading advocate and specialist in accessible design, whose work has transformed the way brands and institutions think about inclusivity and how consumers interact with design. In a moment when accessibility standards are often treated as afterthoughts, Rochelle’s message is clear: when those standards slip, designers have the power—and responsibility—to step up. Her career has been dedicated to helping organizations build more thoughtful, human-centered, and inclusive experiences that serve everyone.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • What’s working—and what isn’t—when it comes to accessibility in design today
  • How brands and institutions can go beyond compliance to foster genuine inclusion
  • Practical steps designers and teams can take to raise the bar
  • The future of accessibility across platforms, environments, and industries

Whether you’re a designer, strategist, builder, or leader, this gathering is a chance to spark meaningful dialogue about how we can design —both digital and physical—that truly welcome everyone.

Rochelle will be joined by one of her clients: Mariel Matze, Associate Director of Communications for EdTrust West

ABOUT CREATIVITY EXPLORED:

Creativity Explored is an internationally celebrated nonprofit, artist community and working studio where over 130 adult artists with developmental disabilities create, exhibit, and sell art. Founded in 1983 by art and disability pioneers Florence Ludins-Katz and Dr. Elias Katz, Creativity Explored’s innovative and respected programs serve as an organizational model worldwide. Located in the Mission District of San Francisco, Creativity Explored advocates for studio artists’ work as a valid and increasingly important contribution to the contemporary art world. As a result, Creativity Explored studio artists’ work is collected and widely exhibited in an array of venues, including museums, commercial galleries, and public spaces. The recent acquisition by both SFMoMA and OMCA of work by artists with developmental disabilities (including several artists from Creativity Explored) illustrates the long-awaited expansion of who is collected, who is discussed and who is represented.
