Event Details

Celebrate this ancient Mexica Aztec observance over 3,000 years old. Our ancestors knew that the only thing certain in life was death, that is why we honor our beloved ancestors on November 1, 2012.

This is an outdoor family event, so bring your folding chairs.

Ceremonia de Miccailhuitl events include:

  • 2-6pm: Build altar
  • 6:30pm-7:00pm – Music with Maestro Xavier Quijas Yxayotl. Renowned flutist and flute maker. Nominated for several Native American Music Awards for his music.
  • 7:00-9:00pm – Aztec dance
