Sugar Skull Making Workshop | Peralta Junction Pop-Up Creative Commons | OaklandMexican Sugar Skulls are a tradition of El Dia De Los Muertos, a popular Mexican celebration of loved ones that have passed on.
Decorate a sugar skull in honor of someone you love and place it on an altar as an ofrenda (offering). Peralta Junction has a Day of the Dead altar and visitors are encouraged to place something on it.
Rosalie and Michelle will bring the sugar skulls, icing and small decorations. Feel free to bring small decorations to add to your skull. (i.e. sequins, feathers, beads, mini flowers) This workshop is for all ages.
