The African savanna comes to life on stage as the NorCal Academy of Performing Arts in association with the Evergreen Studio of Music & the Arts presents Disney’s The Lion King Jr., a powerful story of identity, family, and the enduring “Circle of Life.” The musical follows the epic journey of Simba, a curious young lion prince destined to lead the Pridelands. After the tragic loss of his father, King Mufasa, Simba is driven into exile by his treacherous Uncle Scar. Guided by the wisdom of the mandrill Rafiki and accompanied by the hilarious, carefree duo Timon and Pumbaa, Simba must eventually find the courage to confront his past and take his rightful place as the true King.
