Summer “Now Festival” 2018 | June 22-24
Come on out June 22-24, 2018 to co-create the best possible version of the panhandle community for one extraordinary week as the NOW Summer Festival takes over the neighborhoods around San Francisco’s iconic Panhandle (plus a few others all over the city).
Join in for free events like build-your-own-boat race, flowers crowns, and their always popular bonfire at Ocean Beach. Most of the events are free, however, some events ask for donations or have a low cover.
Are you interested in learning business skills? Are you thinking about starting your own business, but are not sure where to start? Do you sometimes consider getting an MBA but don’t want to spend 2 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars?
Come learn about the many options that you have of learning the business skills and knowledge, making the right connections and creating new businesses, without that hefty MBA price tag. During this workshop, you will go through your own professional development goals, design your individual DIY MBA programs and create a roadmap to your personal education. And you’ll do it on a picnic blanket in the park, cause you can do a DIY MBA anywhere.
What’s a DIY MBA?
A DIY MBA is just that, you Do It Yourself. Their group is here to support you in your own personal learning objectives and to hold you accountable to your goals. This might include a business book club, taking free Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) together, supporting peers in each other’s personal development goals, or participating in a business hackathon or business design team.The most important thing the DIY MBA program will give you is a support network for co-learning and to hold you accountable to your goals and objectives.
