Event Details

The fourth wall gallery in Oakland is featuring Adjani Okpu-Egbe’s first solo show in the United States, “DNA.” Okpu-Egbe’s strong social commentary is synonymous with contemporary African Art (Afro-Expressionism), making him prominent among an emerging generation of African born artists.

These artworks inform us of world cultures, minority experiences, and the lives of the disadvantaged. His compositions balance street culture with high culture and African spiritualism with modern banality.
