Event Details

Discover the edible plants at your feet with UC Berkeley Professor Philip Stark on a tour of South Hayward. Did you know that wild and feral foods can improve nutrition, expand diets, excite palates, save water, reduce waste, increase food security, increase farm biodiversity, and increase farm revenue?

The Bay Area has about 90 common species of safe-to-eat vegetation, and they expect to spot at least 15 types of tasty greens on this tour. Please note: Picking or munching during the walk is discouraged. Sorry, dogs are not allowed in this tour.
