Join us for a one-night experience to celebrate Zephyr Coating — an exhibition honoring our community’s creative voices — and witness the very first electroacoustic performance at 120710 Gallery.
The evening features a 20–30 minute set by artist Sholeh Asgary and the chance to meet the curators and artists behind the show while also celebrating the soft launch of Un//titled Collective, founded by Alex Ehmer and Hannah Gibson.
Your ticket includes more than entry — it’s your all-access pass to a night of art, music, and indulgence.
Sip on wine, beer, a custom specialty cocktail, or non-alcoholic options, and graze from a massive, beautifully curated charcuterie table. Come hungry and come curious.
About the performer:
Sholeh Asgary is an interdisciplinary artist and performer whose practice engages sound, hybrid forms, and performance to investigate, memorialize, and express the complexities of joy and survival inherent in diasporic and refugee experiences. Her primary material and deepest conceptual concern is sound. Through site-specific installations, sculptures, performances, archival projects, and collective collaborations, her work challenges colonial assumptions of what is heard, proposing new futures. As a performer, Asgary approaches sound as an embodied, fugitive force, processing voice, objects, field recordings, and prepared instruments through electronics to create an unsettled, slippery vocality informed by traditional Iranian singing.
Asgary’s debut EP, آبان) Aban) was released with Sming Sming Books and Crystalline Morphologies to critical acclaim. Her work has appeared in SONDUKE, Art in America, and the 2024–25 Getty PST exhibition Atmosphere of Sound. A 2023 YBCA BAN9 artist and Artadia finalist, she has been presented by institutions including PICA, Sotheby’s, and ARoS Kunstmuseum. Asgary teaches at UC Berkeley and is short-listed for a Creative Capital grant.
