Emergency Discussion: Trump and Netanyahu: Nazi Madmen on a Mission of Destruction

Israel’s brutal war of aggression against Iran is unjust and must be opposed by all who stand for justice. What supposedly began as a targeted attack on military sites has expanded into mass shock and terror, overwhelmingly targeting civilians. This is a very dangerous escalation in an already very dangerous world.

Key questions and points:

Israel has the gall to declare that Iran’s nuclear program poses an “existential threat”. The truth is that Iran does not have now, and has never developed, a nuclear weapon. In 2015, Iran signed an agreement with the U.S. and other world powers limiting its nuclear enrichment program to nonmilitary uses only. It kept to that agreement. It was the U.S. and Donald Trump who didn’t and tore it up. Israel is the only nuclear power in the Middle East with at least 90 nuclear warheads.And Israel’s backer, the USA, is the only country ever to use atomic weapons on civilians.

The clash between Israel/US and Iran is a clash between two different oppressive, outmoded societies. Neither represents a way forward for humanity. But US/Israel is clearly the aggressor and by far the greatest threat to humanity. This war also holds the possibility of spiraling out of control and becoming a regional war and possibly a world war with all the horrors that would hold.

Trump has issued bellicose threat after bellicose threat against Iran, one more expression of the Nazi madman that he is. He has threatened the life of the leader of Iran, which is in itself a war crime. The US is deeply involved in backing Israel, and threatens to join in militarily. All this must be firmly opposed by justice-loving people in the US.
