Event Details

Empty Hands: One Woman’s Journey to Save Children Orphaned by AIDS in South Africa by Sister Abegail Ntleko. She has single-handedly done more than anyone to address the AIDS pandemic in Kwazulu Natal, the area of the planet that’s been hit the hardest by AIDS.

Due to Sister Abe’s tireless work, she received the Unsung Heroes of Compassion Award from His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 2009. She is a remarkable presence and a deeply inspiring speaker and is the most energetic 80 year old you can imagine.
