Event Details

Let’s create an enormous, temporary artwork together at the beach.

A fun afternoon of creativity and art on the beach as we create a beautiful artwork on the sand!

No experience necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and creativity. I will provide the tools you need to make our masterpiece. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just looking to try something new, this event is accessible to everyone.

Tell your friends, bring your family, and come enjoy a spell at the beach creating monumental art together.

This event it a light-duty, drop-in style experience. There will be a short orientation, but no instruction. If you would like to have a deeper experience, I lead beach art workshops for smaller groups.

A note on the ticket: I am asking that you donate $2 per ticket. I am doing this as a donation rather than a ticket price becuase Eventbrite would chare $1.97 for a $2 ticket but only $0.06 for a $2 donation. I am charging because I have had too many no-shows. My recent event had so many registered that I purchased insurance just in case, which became unwarranted as fewer than a third actually showed up. This nominal fee is small enough that there is no real pressure to come, but high enough that if every person did it I would have my effort significantly covered. As a bonus, each $1 donated is redeemable for merchandise at the beach. Here’s where the $ goes: travel from where I live in the Sierras, expenses (I stay with family while in the city so I avoid lodging expense), acquiring and fixing tools (some are broken every event), time in marketing the event so that there is a critical mass that makes the artwork and experience special, and web hosting (web-res images from the event are available for free download). Thank you for your understanding and support 🙂

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
