Erotica Bowl I: Spoken Word Erotica Contest | SOMA

Spoken word can be dreadfully boring but this one is bound to keep you interested,  maybe even aroused. There’ll be 12 contestants, each getting 7 minutes to spout off their best erotica in this event organizers call a “a fun, raucous evening of oral debauchery and verbal intercourse.”

The Erotica Bowl I will be a blood sport with a $200 prize given out that night from a panel of judges. Winning is all about how hot and bothered the audience got so this is bound to be raunchy. What it’s not is a strip club: there may be props brought on stage but there won’t be any nudity.

The venue holds only about 80-90 people so get there on time to get a seat. There’s plenty of healthy food for sale, lots of veggies, fair-trade coffee but fresh Kombucha and beer on tap.
