Author Bill Simmons is the from-the-womb hoops addict known to millions as ESPN.com’s Sports Guy. His new book, “The Book of Basketball,” offers every hardwood fan a courtside seat beside the game’s finest, funniest and fiercest chronicler in this definitive book on the NBA. The book offers a wildly opinionated and thoroughly entertaining look at the past, present, and future of pro basketball.

Simmons will discuss the book in person and sign copies at Borders in Mission Bay at 7pm on November 5, 2009.
