10th Anniversary Bay Area Book Festival
Multiple venues in Downtown Berkeley
Free Admission (except for evening headliners)
 
Headliners include: Pulitzer Prize winners Joshunda Sanders and Tommy OrangeAmy TanNaomi Klein, and Charlie Jane Anders.
 
Both Days:
  • Free events 11am to 5pm
  • 100+ authors spanning 50 indoor and outdoor events
  • Provocative Keynotes, Panels, Interviews, Readings, Critical Conversations with Top Authors, Thought Leaders
  • Indigenous Authors Showcase
  • Author Q&A and Book Signings
 Saturday June 1 only:
New: Writers’ Day at Berkeley Public Library
The Bay Area is filled with writers and authors, both aspiring and published. The Festival seeks to honor and nurture writers with a free, day-long series of workshops and sessions led by accomplished authors, publishers, and instructors.
Sunday June 2 only:
  • Outdoor Fair/Literary Marketplace
  • Four stages with presentations by acclaimed authors and thought leaders
  • Literary Marketplace
  • 100+ exhibitors
  • Author Pavilion – new and emerging authors
  • Youth Activity Tent ─ interactive fun for kids of all ages
  • Food Court ─ Popular Bay Area Vendors and Trucks
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL: One of the country’s premier literary events, The Bay Area Book Festival annually features 300+ renowned and emerging authors in conversations at multiple indoor and outdoor venues in Berkeley.
