24th Annual Mexica New Year in San Jose in Emma Prusch Park. March 11-13, 2022. All weekend expect arts and crafts vendors, live painters, kids activities and food and drink
Friday 3/11 with our 1st Annual Cali Native night. We will be honoring and dedicating this evening to California Native Tribes and their traditional dances. This is in collaboration with the local @muwekma_ohlone_tribe.
On Saturday 3/12 we will continue with our sunrise ceremony and Danza Azteca.
– 6am sunrise ceremony
– 10am -Danza de los Huahuas (Veracruz)
– 10:30am to 4pm – Danza Azteca
– 5pm closing
Sunday 3/13 will be filled with other Native traditional dances from the US and Mexico.
– 9am opening ceremony
– 10am – Sonoma County Pomo Dancers
– 10:30am – Danze de los Huahuas
– 11am – All Nations Singers and Intertribal Dancers
– Noon – Aztec Dancers
– 3pm – Danzas de Oaxaza
– 4pm – Live music from Momotombo SF (former members of Malo and Santana)
– 5pm closing
