Please note, San Francisco’s annual César Chávez Parade and Festival has likely been cancelled due to the Civil Rights activist’s sexual abuse allegations. Although, the César Chávez Day website still has its press release about the upcoming celebrations listed, their Facebook page and Instagram pages have recently been deleted.

Be a part of the largest event honoring César Chávez in Northern California, honoring the life and work of labor and civil rights leader Cesar E. Chavez on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

2026 César Chávez Holiday Parade & Festival

– Festival (24th St. from Folsom to Bryant) – 11am to 6pm
– Parade (Dolores Park at 19th Street)  – Starts at 11am

The annual César Chávez Holiday Parade & Festival in San Francisco has become a significant event in the Mission, drawing a diverse crowd of participants and attendees from different demographics and cultures.

The Festival takes over 24th Street (between Folsom and Bryant) from 11am to 6pm. Typically, the festival includes live performances, arts and crafts, a classic car show, community and cultural booths, food vendors, health and wellness resources, games and activities for kids, and local vendors.

The celebration also includes the festive César Chávez Parade, which starts at Dolores Park at 19th Street at 11am.
