Calpulli Tonalehqueh hosts the largest Azteca Mexica New Year Ceremony & Celebration in the nation.

The nation’s oldest and largest Aztec New Year ceremony, uniting Aztec dancers from across the United States and Mexico, and welcoming community members for a free, family-friendly, three-day cultural celebration.

Join us for the 28th Annual Mexica New Year, March 13-15, 2026 for a weekend filled with Native traditional dancers, a sunrise ceremony, arts & crafts market and delicious food.

Our gathering brings together over 500 Aztec Dancers from throughout the US and Mexico, 7 Northern California Native tribes including our local Muwekma Ohlone tribe of the SF Bay Area and other Native tribes from the US and Mexico. We host over 150 arts & crafts, food, non-profit and community resources booths and expect attendance of 15,000 community members throughout the 3-day weekend. This gathering is family-friendly, educational, culturally rooted, and completely free for all to attend. No alcohol nor drugs are permitted.
