2026 Bay Area Aloha Festival (Aug. 8-9)

Get a taste of the islands at the Bay Area Aloha Festival, a free, family-friendly celebration of Pacific Islander culture featuring two days of live music, hula and Polynesian dance, island food, arts and crafts, workshops, and more.

The Pacific Islanders’ Cultural Association (PICA) presents the 31st Annual Bay Area Aloha Festival on Saturday and Sunday, August 8-9, at the San Mateo County Event Center. The festival celebrates the histories, cultures, and traditions of Pacific Islanders with performances and activities representing Hawaii, Tahiti, and other Pacific Island cultures.

Entertainment includes continuous live music and dance performances, with main stage performances beginning at 11 a.m. The lineup includes hula and Tahitian dance groups as well as Hawaiian, ukulele, reggae, and other Pacific Island musicians.

The festival will feature a large island marketplace with arts and crafts vendors, lei-making and other activities, plus ‘ono island food vendors. Visitors can also check out educational workshops, community resources, Lomi Lomi massage demonstrations, raffle drawings, and the Ohana Keiki Korner with activities for children.

Concert seating is available with low-back beach chairs and blankets, and attendees may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Picnic tables are also available. Alcohol is not permitted.
