Art Monster Sale: Half-off Happy Monster Sculptures | Oakland

Artist Ralph Lazar’s herd of monster sculptures, all called Lyle, are in residence at SOBU Oakland till January. They’ll be half-price for Plaid Friday November 24th (Oakland’s ‘shop local’ alternative to Black Friday) as well as Sat 25th and Sun 26th Nov.

There will also be an Art Monster Selfie Station, why not take your photo with a lovable giant or maybe even the whole herd?

Lyles are two-dimensional wooden smiling monsters created by Ralph Lazar. Although some are solitary, Lyles often move in herds from 10-50, and can grow up to 8ft tall. Wherever they go they tend to make people smile and feel a bit better about the world.
