SF Bay Area Artists For Ukraine – Using Art to Spread Kindness and Save Lives
A team of artists working in the San Francisco Bay Area, together with SHOH Gallery in Berkeley, CA, are presenting a special art exhibit to fundraise for World Central Kitchen (WCK) in support of their work in Ukraine.
Special fundraising art exhibit to support World Central Kitchen and their efforts in providing nourishment to those displaced by war-torn Ukraine. March 3 – 19. Closing reception with artists present on March 19. Gallery hours: Wednesday to Saturday: 11-6 and Sunday: 12-4
WCK uses the power of food to heal communities in times of crisis and beyond. WCK’s Chef Relief Teams rushed to the borders of Ukraine right at the start of the Russian invasion. They have worked tirelessly ever since to provide nourishment to those displaced and affected by the war.
The fundraiser art exhibit will take place from March 9 to March 19, 2022, at SHOH Gallery, 700 Gilman, Berkeley, CA.
The gallery will be donating 30% of each sale from the exhibit, with artists donating an additional percentage from their proceeds. That’s up to 80% of sales from the exhibit that can go toward supporting WCK.
This page tracks the campaign’s donations to WCK: http://donate.wck.org/SFBAAForUkraine. The goal is to reach $10,000 by the conclusion of the show.
There will be a reception to close out the exhibit. Follow SHOH’s Instagram account (@shoh_east_bay) or visit www.shohgallery.com for the latest updates.
Don’t have room for art? Help the team meet donation goals. No amount is too big or too small. Even a $3, $5, or $20 gift can help WCK provide a meal for someone in need.
Join in our fight against hunger. Together, we can paint a better world. Thank you.
