Please note that given the nature of COVID-19 things may change closer to the event date. So please check the organizer’s website or Facebook for updates.
Dia de Madonnari is a street painting festival taking place in Berkeley and Oakland. Participants are provided chalk pastels to create art in an area of their choice and compete to win up to $200 in prize money.
Street art is a great way to call attention to an organization close to your heart, your business, the person you want to celebrate, or ideas you would like to express.
Each illustration will be pinned on a map so viewers can take a socially distant walking tour. This event aims to provide an expressive outlet through street art that functions to build community resilience during what is a stressful time for many. We know we have the power to inspire each other, to raise one another’s spirits, and we encourage all who are interested in being involved to sign up
Sign up information is found on our website: Artwork creation will begin on September 25th and ends on the 28th.
If you are interested in participating, volunteering, or writing a story on the event, shoot us an email at diademadonnari@gmail.com
