San Jose’s 2023 “Starlight Cinema” Free Outdoor Movie Night (July 1-Aug 5)

Starlight Cinemas in San Jose return to St. James Park in 2023, for a free outdoor and awesome movie night. All movies begin at dusk in the park.

Typically about an hour before the film are movie-related fun & games.

2023 Update: Join us this season for favorite throwbacks and family-friendly films. Come an hour before dusk for pre-movie activities beginning at 7:30 p.m. on July 1, July 15 and 7 p.m. on July 29 and August 5. Enjoy a fun variety of community partner booths, local vendors and lawn games. Grab food and drinks to go from one of our partner downtown restaurants and stop by for late-night eats and drinks after the movie.

As part of the city’s Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services events in St. James Park this summer, SJDA hosts four Starlight Cinemas movie nights in the one of the city’s most historic parks.
