Metallica’s One-Night-Only “Drive-In Movie” Concert

EVENT UPDATE: There are no upcoming events known for this event series - please check the organizer website for any updates.

Thanks to Rolling Stone for letting us know that Metallica is filming a special “Encore Drive-In Nights” concert film from a “top secret location” in Northern California to be shown exclusively at drive-in movie theaters later this month.

Catch a must-see drive-in movie of Metallica in concert on August 29th. The band is recording a full-set, featuring material spanning the band’s near 40-year career and it will be edited and mixed by their award-winning production team. Watch Metallica rehearsal footage shot on August 6th.

Like other recent drive-in shows, staff will wear PPE and cars will be stationed six feet apart.

This concert is being filmed exclusively for this event and will be shot near the band’s home base in Northern California. This will be the band’s first show of 2020.
