Pay-What-You-Can Outdoor Yoga at 7th West (Oakland)
EVENT UPDATE: There are no upcoming events known for this event series - please check the organizer website for any updates.
Imagine a world where time drifts slowly . . .
and every mood is honored, held, and seen: Happy, Sad, Disgusted, Angry, Fearful, Bad, Surprised, Sensual, Chaotic, lmao, wtf???, emoji, blank. Sometimes we can’t even put a name to it.
Join me at 7th West, every other Thursday, for a yoga class that helps us move with the moods. We’ll honor the ancient roots and our aliveness with asana (postures), pranayama (breath), and meditation while incorporating other therapeutic and spiritual practices. Yoga doesn’t have to look like appropriated mala beads, yoga leggings, and smell like patchouli. Whatever we create as a community together is right.
Pay what you can (“donation” option) to improve accessibility to this practice. This is for the creatives, the entrepreneurs, the unemployed and unprotected unable to find that a sense of self love that seems like it’s only offered to the most privileged. And that, my loves, is my mood.
– Bring personal props such as blocks, straps, bolsters, or blankets. No extra props will be provided.
– A mask is required to enter and be in the area. Masks can be off during practice.
– Space is limited due to social distancing
– Be prepared to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out contact tracing form and set up your space
