Santa Cruz Longboard Surf Contest | 2019
Come watch the Santa Cruz Longboard Surf Contest, the longest-running longboard surf contest on the West Coast.
Nearly 200 contestants take part, so come cheer on local surfers as they compete against some of the best longboarders on the famous Steamer Lane and Cowells over Memorial Day weekend.

Typically, spectators are invited to watch the surfing and enjoy commentary, music, refreshments, T-shirts and raffle drawings. The awards ceremony follows the last heat on Sunday.
In past years, the event has included free skin cancer screenings, free ear exams, food vendors and locally owned business booths.
