SF Black Restaurant Week 2020 (August 21-30)
EVENT UPDATE: There are no upcoming events known for this event series - please check the organizer website for any updates.
Black Restaurant Week is an annual celebration of African-American, African and Caribbean cuisine nationwide and started in Bay Area on Friday, Aug 21. Due to Covid-19 this year, this year’s restaurant week will not have its usual live events and in-person diners. Instead, diners can play Black Restaurant Week Bingo by simply marking off a space for each black-owned restaurant they visit for outdoor dining and takeout. Get the Bingo card on their Instagram page.
The 2020 roster of participating restaurants include Oakland’s Jamaican mainstay Kingston 11 Cuisine, San Francisco’s only Nigerian restaurant Eko Kitchen, Emeryville’s popular fried chicken spot Minnie Bell’s Soul Movement, as well as a variety of lesser-known food trucks and catering businesses. See a full directory of participating restaurants here.
Black Restaurant Week runs Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 30, 2020.
