The San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival (SFIOFF) inspires people to appreciate and care for the ocean by revealing its wonders through independent films at the Cowell Theater, Fort Mason Center from March 12–15, 2020. 

Come view the beauty and mysteries of the ocean, explore coastal cultures, and pause to reflect on the importance of this vital ecosystem. Over the course of four days, catch a full program of film on surfing, sharks, and much more.

Festival Highlights:

  • 15 film programs across 4 days (12 programs at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture Cowell Theater in San Francisco + 2 programs at The Smith Rafael Film Center in San Rafael + 1 at The Roxie Theater in the Mission)
  • 56 unique films
  • 15+ filmmakers in attendance
  • 19 countries represented
  • 4+ panels with expert scientists and cinematographers

On Saturday, March 15, 2020 you can attend a free program of student films from the Bay Area and as well as other countries. The event is free, but registration is still required to attend.
