SF’s “Bike & Roll Week” (April 18-22)

Bike & Roll to School Week is for students city-wide to celebrate getting around under your own power. Whether you’re on a bike, scooter, wheelchair, or skateboard, it’s healthy, green, and FUN. Walking counts too! Check out the awesome activities and exciting prizes.

School Celebrations

Encourage everyone at your school to bike, skate, scoot, or otherwise roll (or walk!), and incentivize them with stickers, rewards, music, or anything else your imagination comes up with.

Bike & Roll Champions are their school’s organizers for Bike & Roll to School Week — and they’re the ones who really make the celebration incredible! Any member of a school’s community can be their school’s organizer for Bike & Roll to School Week, whether you’re a student (MS and HS only), teacher, parent, or school staff member. Each school community gets to choose the best day out of Bike & Roll to School week to celebrate, and all forms of rolling are encouraged, such as bikes, skateboards, wheelchairs, scooters, and more!

Interested in becoming a Bike & Roll champion for your your student’s preK-5 school? Check out our organizer toolkit for parents, teachers, and staff. Are you in middle or high school and want to get more of your classmates biking, walking, and rolling to school? Check out our student organizer toolkit for middle and high schools!

Each school community will receive outreach materials like posters, bike lights, and more to help organize their school for a successful Bike & Roll to School Week! Plus, thank you gifts for our Bike & Roll Champions from sponsors like Sports Basement, SFMTA, and others.
