Macy’s End Zone, Macy’s Union Square, 4th Floor, 170 O’Farrell Street, SF
Other highlights of the pop-up experience include the “Fan Cave” and “The Yard.”
The Fan Cave is a space replete with tablets featuring original SI content, an e-gaming lounge and a touchdown dance celebration booth that generates GIFs to be shared across fans’ social channels. The Yard is a replica outdoor football space that will simulate the tailgating experience and also includes an interactive football experience featuring a virtual QB passing challenge.
The Yard will also feature live DJs throughout the day, a “Face on the SI Cover” photo opportunity and a gallery display of Sports Illustrated covers from each of the past 49 Big Games. Further, SI’s presence at Macy’s Union Square will be highlighted from the outside by a huge 111-foot by 115-foot banner on the Union Square-facing façade of the iconic building.
Included in this space will be the SI Studio, where four live episodes of SI’s daily talk show, SI Now, and weekly NFL show, Pro Football Now, will be filmed featuring host Maggie Gray along with top current and former NFL players, including Brett Favre, Jarvis Landry, Justin Tuck and more.
The SI Experience will also host appearances from pro athletes for fan meet and greets, autograph signings and chalk talks, with a handful of different athletes joining each day.
