Event Details

Award-winning choreographer Kim Epifano and professional dancers Antoine Hunter and Zahna Moss who are deaf will share how they communicate through movement and serve as role models for success in the arts.

The lecture demonstration will feature dance that integrates sign language as a source of choreography, text, and audience echoing. The dancers are part of Island City Waterways, a public art event that explores how the waterways have shaped Alameda’s unique past and present to be held May 20, 21, & 22.
