Sanchez Art Center, Pacifica—The work of sculptor Jerry Ross Barrish will be featured in the Main Gallery at Sanchez Art Center, opening on Friday, January 16, with an evening reception from 7 – 9 pm. The assemblage/constructions made mostly of found plastic objects, capture gesture, form and movement, bringing life to the refuse that is the essence of Barrish’s art. This exhibition is one of several ways in the months ahead that Barrish will be recognized for his over two decades of service to Sanchez Art Center where he has been Artistic Director since 2004. In the West Gallery, members of the Art Guild of Pacifica will participate in a group show titled Anything Goes. The East Gallery is presenting the award winners and judges from the 2025 Fog Fest Photography Contest. A gallery walk and talk with the photographers will be held on Sat, Jan 31, at 3:00 pm. On the last day of all the exhibitions, Sunday, February 8, the closing program will begin at 3:30 pm with a conversation in the Main Gallery with artist Jerry Ross Barrish and curator Alida Bray. Sanchez Art Center is located at 1220 Linda Mar Blvd, Pacifica, CA. Gallery hours are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1 to 5 pm, and by appointment, during exhibits (except opening nights).
