Event Details

Are you looking to make the switch from gas to electric at home? Have some questions?

As part of this year’s Silicon Valley Reads program, “A Greener Tomorrow Starts Today,” the City’s Sustainability and Resiliency Division is showcasing electrification technology, offering you an opportunity to interact with and learn about:

  • Induction cooking: See induction in action and enjoy free hot chocolate or tea.
  • Ask a Neighbor: Talk with a Mountain View Community Member who already switched about the process and results.
  • Electric Landscaping with the Day Worker Center of Mountain View: Learn about the new Electric Tool Library and the benefits of using electric for yard care.
  • Electric Water Heaters (invited): Speak with a contractor or electrification technical expert about the benefits and extensive rebates available for switching to an electric water heater.
  • County Regional Priority Climate Action Plan: Provide feedback to BayREN about Santa Clara County’s Regional Priority Climate Action Plan. Contribute Mountain view’s voice to the plan.
