​ What makes a good hug more than just a gesture, and why does connection matter now more than ever?

​Join us at SF Athletic Club for a conversation with Friendship Facilitator Stephanie Cowan as she explores the art and science of human connection, starting with something as simple and powerful as a hug.

​Drawing on her work building community in San Francisco, Stephanie will unpack how small, intentional actions—from greeting strangers to creating welcoming neighborhoods—can rebuild our sense of belonging in an increasingly isolated world. This talk goes beyond hugs to offer practical tools and mindset shifts for creating deeper, more authentic connections in your everyday life.
