1AM Gallery is pleased to present the Precita Eyes Urban Youth Arts Benefit: Keep Our Eyes Open, opening January 14th 2016, featuring an array of artwork by muralists that have been working with the prolific non-profit Precita Eyes team to raise funds in an effort to buy their original building and save their Urban Youth Arts Program.

The event is free and open to the public, but you can make a donation today.

To receive a digital catalog of the artwork please send a request to Adriana@1amgallery.com

As you may have recently heard, Precita Eyes has been at risk for losing their historic space at Precita Park in the Mission District. They need to raise 200K in loans and donations before escrow closes on January 22nd, 2016.

344-348 Precita Ave, in San Francisco, includes 3 residential units and the original studio of Precita Eyes Muralists, all of whom have lived and worked in the building for 40 years. The landlord is selling the building and MEDA, Mission Economic Development Association, a local non-profit is willing to buy it on their behalf so that they can stay in their homes and businesses.

Besides participating in the Benefit Show, there are a few way you can help right now!

  • Contribute money through their crowd-sourcing campaign:
    www.crowdrise.com/helpusbuyandstayinou
  • Make a tax-deductible donation through Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA) Please designate : 344-348 Precita in the last box that says: “This donation should go to which program”
  • Invest $10,000 or more in a 12 month loan for which you will be paid back with 5% interest. For more information on how to make a $10,000+ loan, please contact: Karoleen Feng, kfeng@medasf.org and be sure to include Susan Cervantes – susan@precitaeyes.org in your email.
