“Faeries of the Moonlight” Berkeley’s Summer Musical Theatre in the Park (Aug. 19-Sep. 4)
Come have a picnic in the park and see a brand new musical in a gorgeous setting this summer.
Faeries of the Moonlight is a musical play that follows the delightful and daring adventures of a rebellious teenager, Sunny, who crosses over to the fairy realm after she has a fight with her errant mother, a Celtic punk rocker. It’s a fairy tale told with humor and heart, suitable for all ages, with music derived from classic Irish melodies.

Free-of-charge. The amphitheatre consists of a series of stone terraces – bring low lawnchairs, pillows, and/or blankets. The show lasts approximately 2 hours including an intermssion where hot dogs, veggie dogs, and corn-on-the-cob will be available.
About Faeries of the Moonlight – Trapped behind the portal that connects the faery and human worlds, two faeries Rory and Maddie come to Sunny’s aid. The teen’s fate hangs in suspense as magic, betrayal, and sacrifice shape the events that catapult the characters into a life and death struggle.
Book and Lyrics by Mercedes Cohen, Music Composed and Arranged by Aoife Ni Conchobhair O’Connor, Pamela Connolly, and Kara S. Poon, and directed by Michael Cohen.
Actors Ensemble is the longest-running theatrical organization in Berkeley.
Audiences of all ages will enjoy the delightful Faeries of the Moonlight. And it is one of the few theater productions that children between 6 and 12 can understand and appreciate.
