Fall 2025 Brava Film Night: “New Wave” + AAPI Shorts (SF)

Brava Theater is proud to present “New Wave” a film by Elizabeth Ai on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 7:00 PM. This special screening begins with two short films from AAPI Bay Area directors, “We’re Okay” Directed by Lucia Tran and “Daly City” Directed by Nick Hartanto. The feature film, “New Wave” Directed by Elizabeth Ai, captures the vibrant spirit of a musical phenomenon that electrified Vietnamese American teens in the 1980s: New Wave. What begins as an exploration of the rebellion and freedom within this subculture evolves into a profound narrative of identity, loss, and healing.
