Event Details

Come down to the market for a day of tasting, learning, and cooking with local fish.

Learn why smaller fish are more sustainable through an interactive “seafood chain” game and enjoy samples of crispy sardines and anchovies. Pick up CUESA’s new Seafood Availability Guide, Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch guide, and recipes.

Enjoy seafood-themed cooking demos in the CUESA Kitchen:

  • 11 am: Maria Finn, author of The Whole Fish, and Martin Reed of i love blue sea will discuss diversifying your seafood choices and demonstrate cooking with smaller fish.
  • 12 pm: Hans Haveman, H & H Fresh Fish Co.

All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples for all.
