F*ckUp Nights: Startup Founders Talk Failure & Learning | SF

F*ckUp Nights San Francisco is a monthly event series where entrepreneurs and startup founders talk about their biggest professional or business failure in an irreverent and candid way.

Free, but an RSVP is required.

While no two F*ckUp Night is the same, each one has the same basic premise. During each event, three speakers are invited to share their most insightful fuckup tale.

The rest of the evening is all about getting to know each other, complete with plenty of good beer, good music and good vibes. The event is free and beer will be provided. Your tips and donations keep FuckUp Nights going, so they appreciate your contribution once you arrive.

Mike Bergelson HeadshotMike Bergelson is co-founder and CEO of Everwise, a company that builds software and runs online programs for career advancement, leadership, development and mentoring. He co-founded and ran enterprise software company Audium which was acquired by Cisco in 2006, co-founded adMarketplace, and has previous experience in management consulting. Most recently he ran strategy for Cisco’s enterprise collaboration business.

Daria Gonzalez is a Stanford GSB MBA student from Moscow, Russia. Born in an international family, she spent her childhood in Cuba and Yugoslavia, and ended up settling in Russia. After receiving degree in Architecture, Daria tried herself in different professions, including journalism, theater direction, architecture and entrepreneurship. She founded a booking agency which organized tours for European underground musicians to Moscow and Saint Petersburg, broadcasted radio shows and co-organized musical festivals in Europe and Russia.

Victor Chapela has over 25 years of IT experience and entrepreneurship. During this time, he has founded and led 6 technology companies in the United States and Mexico. He is the founder of Suggestic, a company that is building a Personalized Nutrition Platform that incorporates each person’s preferences, health, immune response, genome and micro-biome data to suggest the healthiest and tastiest possible diet. He is also currently co-authoring RiskVolution, a book on the evolution of risk from the origin of life to the digital age and beyond.

Aaron Schwartz is the co-founder of Modify Watches, custom (awesome) timepieces assembled in San Francisco. He started the company in 2010 as a summer project, after spending two years at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. There, he taught finance, though finance is the most messed-up part of Modify. Aaron is from Cleveland, America’s favorite city. He also loves customization, customer service, dogs and walking.
