On a cold night in Nogales, Mexico, Victor Moreno headed north. At the trailhead, Victor was met by an old man bearing a blessing of safe travels and a ‘taco de canasta” (soft, steamed tacos from cloth-covered baskets). This small, generous gesture of humanity left a lifelong impression on Victor and a story that he loves to share.

Come share your immigration stories, or your family’s, in a Story Circle, while we snack on “tacos de canasta.” Watch Maria Natividad demonstrate how to make tortillas by hand! Arts & crafts activities for kids!

This event is the third of four celebrations to be held in 2019 connected to the “Undocumented Heart” exhibit featuring cultural traditions of the day laborers.
