October marks Filipino-American History Month, a time dedicated to celebrating the rich history and cultural contributions of Filipinos in the United States. This year, Banana Ketchup Comedy is setting the stage for an unprecedented coast-to-coast celebration by uniting the vibrant Filipino communities of San Francisco and New York City with the annual Filipino Comedy Festival. In its second year, this highly anticipated event not only brings together rising Filipino comedy stars from across the US and Canada, but also symbolizes the first-ever collaboration between East and West Coast Filipino communities in the comedy scene.
Filipinos are known for viral karaoke performances, impeccable dance moves, and now—standup comedy on a global scale. On October 4–5 and October 17–19, join some of the best Filipino comedians you’ve seen on Netflix, Comedy Central, JFL, and all over social media for eight incredible, riotous shows filled with comedy, games, incredible prizes and belly-aching laughter. Join us for a first-of-its-kind festival and meet the next generation of JoKoys.
Expect performances by:
