Grab your blanket, pillow and pack the picnic basket, because Film Night in the Park is closing it’s outdoor summer film festival with “The Empire Strikes Back.” Film Night in the Park celebrates the 30th Anniversary of Episode V of the Star Wars series with screenings at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17 and Saturday, Sept. 18 at Creek Park in San Anselmo.
Special Film Introduction by Star Wars Sound Designer: Marin resident Ben Burtt will give special introductions at the Film Night screenings. An Academy Award winning sound designer, Burtt is the creator of the iconic “Star Wars” sound effects including R2-D2, the lightsaber hum and Darth Vader’s ominous heavy-breathing.
About Film Night in the Park
Reminiscent of the drive-in movies of yesteryear, Film Night in the Park is unique for its audience participation of cheers for heroes, boos and hisses for villains, sing-a-longs and hardy applause. Bring blankets, pillows, backrest and low chairs. Film Night suggests leaving pets at home.
