SF in SF (Science Fiction in San Francisco presents a very special SF in SF Film Night and Book Launch Party with free popcorn. The book launch is for The Bleeding Edge and the film is the Northern California premiere screening of a documentary about Charles Beaumont, one of the most prolific screenwriters of his era having penned dozens of creepy episodes of The Twilight Zone in the 1950s and 1960s before dying at the age of 39.

Following is another film screening: The Seven Faces of Dr. Lao

6:00PM Book launch and reception for The Bleeding Edge

7:00PM Film: Charles Beaumont: The Short Life of Twilight Zone’s Magic Man Northern California premiere.
Beaumont was a prolific American author of speculative fiction, including short stories in the horror and science fiction subgenres. He is fondly remembered as a writer of many classic Twilight Zone episodes, such as “The Howling Man”, “Miniature”, and “Printer’s Devil,” but he also penned the screenplays for several cult horror and science fiction films, among them The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao (based on the book The Circus of Dr. Lao by Charles Finney), The Intruder and The Masque of the Red Death.
