Event Details

Called one of the greatest films of all time, The Battleship Potemkin is a thrilling silent epic about the real-life mutiny that occurred in 1905 when the crew of the Russian battleship Potemkin rebelled against their Tsarist regime officer.

If there’s an activist slant here, it’s because it’s sponsored by The Freedom Socialist Party. The group is showing the film as part of a discussion circle on Leon Trotsky’s seminal work The History of the Russian Revolution. Everyone welcome.

COST: At the door they ask for donations of $2 to $5. A light supper will be served at 6:30 pm for $6; Better to call about that at (415) 864-1278.
