Original Event Description:
_Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026 is the final day ever of the DIY community-driving Sunset Trading Post – There’s no specific hours, but according to the host on an Instagram post, it will close “end of day’The Sunset Trading Post (often called the Outer Sunset Trinket Trade or Sunset Trading Post) is a neighborhood free-exchange station in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset District. Located near 48th Avenue and Moraga Street, it operates like a tiny free library where visitors leave a small craft, toy, or trinket and take one in return

• Location: 48th Avenue and Moraga Street, Outer Sunset District
Community-driven “take a trinket, leave a trinket” box or shelf
• Common Items: Small art pieces, handmade crafts, stickers, pins, keychains, and tiny toys
leave a note or a small item of equal joy for the next person

We love to see arts, crafts, pre-loved objects, and vintage items. There is always someone looking for what you’d like to trade. There is no need to completely fill this trading post. Trendy items in bulk aren’t necessary to trade here. We see a lot of trinket trade items continuing to circulate around the city and not finding a home these days – which in the end – is wasteful and eventually lives in our landfills.

There will also be new signage…
Just a gentle reminder that when visiting the Trading Post – you are on private property. This is my home. We reserve the right to ask visitors to leave if necessary. If you have been asked to have no contact, we respectfully ask that you DO NOT visit the Trading Post.

Thank you so much for understanding! Looking forward to saying hi! See you soon!
