A team of conservators at the SFMOMA is currently working to preserve one of Diego Rivera’s historic murals.

Visitors can watch them work in the Roberts Family Gallery on Floor 1 for free. Although the timing can chance, the last time to watch the live preservation work is  Thursday, July 29th.

Want to see preservation in action? Admission to the Roberts Family gallery is from 1-8p on Thursday, but it’s unknown exactly what time the preservationists will be working. (Please note that this is a separate free area within the SFMOMA. You won’t get free admission to the main galleries or any special exhibits)

Some people might find it fascinating, others might think it’s like watching paint dry.
